Exhibitions, entertainment, carnivals, Kids Activities, Animal shows, and even private functions—the Western Montana Fairgrounds is the place in Missoula for any of these events and then some more. The grounds are open all year round 8.00 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday. There's always something going on all or some of the six main venues that would be of inordinate interest to kids and adults. The fairground has ample parking, restrooms, payphones and restaurants. ATMs ensure you don't run out of funds for your fun day out.
In the months of August and May there are organized fairs held that would be a pity to miss. Demolition derbies, dog shows, and rodeos are only some of what's in store for the fairgoer. There's plenty to keep children happy without having to depend on fairy floss to keep spirits high. The cherry on top would have to be the Glacier Ice Rink where you can ice-skate or try your skills with the puck.
You can even rent venues here to hold your private functions whether it's a birthday party or the mother of all private events—a wedding. Six venues ranging from the Fair Center Building with a capacity to host 80 people, to the whopper 9000 sq ft Commercial Building that can easily accommodate 300, give you quite a choice.
Located in central Missoula at 1101 South Avenue West it is easily accessible from anywhere. While on I-90, you need to take the Orange St. exit and stay on it as it changes to Stephens till you hit South Avenue. Turn right and you'll find the entrance on the south side.
