Activities

Nestled next to the largest freshwater lake in the west, you can guess what activities rule the area. Try your hand boating, fishing, and swimming in Flathead Lake. If you start to prune from all your time in the water, take a break and have a picnic and do a bit of hiking on Wildhorse Island, a 2,165-acre state park.

Don't miss the Pablo Wildlife Refuge, a great spot for spotting and viewing an abundance of waterfowl including rudding ducks, loons, mallards, and trumpeter swans.

Getting Here

Polson Montana is an easy drive north from Missoula. This beautiful, scenic drive through Swan Valley and past the Mission Mountains is an experience all its own. An hour will pass before you realize any time has gone.

From Missoula, take I-90 west to Hwy 93 north to Polson. Turn left on 8th St East and a left on 7th Ave E and you are in the heart of downtown Polson. Have a great visit!
