SMALL CROWDS, BIG THRILLS

Whitefish Mountain Resort offers the ultimate diehard ski vacation: a 2,353 vertical drop, 3,000 acres of endless powder, and no lift lines. Known for unparalleled tree-skiing and its unique local flavor, Whitefish Mountain attracts the tried and true "skier's skiers" year after year. With 60 years of operation under its belt, Whitefish Mountain today offers 10 chair lifts and 94 marked trails (not counting the endless glade- and open bowl-skiing opportunities in bounds). Though the mountain will always be "big," the resort operates as a small community, with virtually no crowds, a fun family atmosphere, and plenty of snow to go around.

Other than world-class tree-skiing, Whitefish Mountain offers plenty of on-snow activities for the adventuresome traveler. Dog sledding and snowmobiling tours take you through quiet gladed forests to incredible views of nearby Glacier National Park and the Canadian Rockies. Enjoy and informative snowshoe or x-country ski tour into West Glacier, a particularly picturesque portion of Glacier National Park, and learn about local geology, animal prints, and local history. If you want to stick with your skis, hit up the backcountry on a guided snow cat tour and experience the mountains like a professional skier. Come to Whitefish and experience big mountain skiing!
