Overview: If you love cherries then the The Flathead Cherry Festival is your kind of festival. Held on the main streets of Polson, MT each year you can try your luck in the stem tying contest, pit spitting contest and the cherry pie bake off. Held over two days in July each year, this festival is a family fun event from the food to the arts and crafts and entertainment of the street dance.

Details: Sponsored by the Polson Community and the Flathead Lake Cherry Growers this is a great event to share your love for cherries. The streets of Polson are filled with fun, music, food, cherry themed contests, bake sales and arts and crafts. Don't forget the street dance on Saturday night. Montana made items and cherry themed goods are a common theme throughout the vendors at the festival.
The Flathead Lake Region of Montana offers an ideal climate for cherry production. It is approximately 3000 feet above sea level with beautiful, sunny, warm days, and cool evenings.
