Located at the cross section of two major highways, Missoula is an easy place to find. You can approach the city from all directions but I-90, which runs east/west and Hwy 93, which runs north/ south are the easiest and fastest access highways. If you are interested in approaching Missoula via a scenic byway, Hwy 200 and Hwy 12 are both beautiful.
Missoula International Airport (MSO) is located just four miles from downtown Missoula. What this airport lacks in size it makes up for with convenience. The airport is serviced by Delta, United Express/ Skywest, Alaskan Airlines/ Horizon Airlines, and Allegiant. Direct flights to Denver, Salt Lake City, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Seattle are available.
Sometimes having the freedom of mobility is what you need for a relaxing trip. If that sounds familiar, renting a car may be an option to consider. At the airport alone there are nine different rental car agencies available. These include both national dealers and local companies. Other offices can be found throughout Missoula.
Missoula has a great bus system. The Missoula Mountain Line offers twelve different routes that will take you to all corners of the city, including to and from the airport. Check their website for details on routes, times, and maps.

Also, most hotels offer shuttle service too and from the airport. Just check with your hotel before relying on the shuttle for a ride.
In addition, there are other shuttle companies that cater to large groups. They offer different sized vehicles depending on your group size. Options include everything from small buses, large school buses to chartered motorcoaches. Perfect if you are traveling with a large group.
